Glasgow Film Theatre introduced Access Take 2: Autism-friendly screenings for children in 2008. Screenings take place on the first Saturday of every month at 12.30pm. The film and the cinema environment are suitable for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The films have no subtitles, are played with the volume reduced and the house lights on low. Children can make noise and move around. Children with other disabilities who would enjoy seeing a film in a low sensory environment are welcome to attend the screenings too. Ticket prices: Glasgow Young Scot and Kidz Card holders and an accompanying adult get in FREE, all other tickets £4.50. Each child's ticket admits one adult free of charge. Please contact the Box Office for more information. The venue is fully accessible - please ring in advance to reserve wheelchair space - the cinema is accessible via a ramp.
