Remie Colledge
Remie is presenting as an Expert by Experience working within the Neurodevelopmental Liaison Project Team, Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. The project aims to breakdown some of the barriers that autistic people can face when accessing mental health services, through offering training, resources and consultations. She supports the team by offering insights from an autistic perspective and having previously accessed mental health services during her own recovery. Remie is particularly involved in developing new resources for mental healthcare professionals working with autistic adults.
Alongside this role, Remie is an Expert with Lived Experience co-trainer for the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training in Learning Disability and Autism, co-lead of a Neurodivergent Language Project within Coventry and Warwickshire, and a trained Peer Support Worker. Across her work, she is dedicated to promoting greater understanding, accessibility and inclusion. She is passionate about working together with others to influence change, by sparking new ideas and different ways of thinking. Remie’s particular areas of interest and experience include autism and late diagnosis, the language we use to talk about neurodiversity, reasonable adjustments and accessibility within healthcare and workplaces, and the overlap between autism and eating disorders.
