Neurodiversity Champions

This course will develop your understanding of neurodivergence and what it means to be a neurodiversity champion.

About the course

This course is relevant for those in customer facing roles as well as those who want to be able to support neurodivergent people in employment.

Understanding common experiences and making adjustments in the way we interact and support neurodivergent people is everyone’s responsibility and will lead to wider participation.
 
The course aims to develop delegates’ understanding of neurodivergence and supportive approaches and how to be a neurodiversity champion.

Training details and timings 


Our interactive training options provide delegates with access to our courses in a learner friendly and accessible way. Your training will be delivered by one of our experienced and knowledgeable training consultants, using a combination of PowerPoint presentation, videos and discussion to support learning. We schedule regular breaks into all our sessions. 

Training runs from 9.30 to 3.30pm, including breaks and lunchtime.

 

Live online courses are delivered using Microsoft Teams 

Delegates will be sent joining links and handouts prior to the course. We have approximately 25 delegates on each group, and we try to be sensitive to individual adjustments that people may need, including cameras being optional and using the chat box for interactions. 
 

Face-to-face courses are delivered at a venue of your choosing 

Electronic handouts are provided in advance for printing. We take approximately 30 delegates on each group.

If, as well as being a neurodiversity champion, you would also like to be licensed to deliver a one-hour ‘Introduction to neurodiversity’ session, we have a Neurodiversity Champions Licensed User training option.
