Ruth Jones

Ruth Jones (she/her) is an independent speech and language therapist working across Wiltshire and Somerset. Her work involves direct work with individuals, families and educational settings. Additionally, she delivers training to therapists and offers clinical supervision to other speech and language therapists. More recently, Ruth has published a book with Speechmark, titled Neurodiversity affirming practice for speech and language therapists: supporting compassion, curiosity and conversation.
Ruth works primarily with neurodivergent children and young people and those who require support to access meaningful opportunities and their education. Ruth believes in child-led and neurodiversity-informed practice, and her core values are around acceptance, curiosity and connection.
Ruth feels purposeful about using her role to challenge and encourage change in the field of speech and language therapy, as well as more widely within educational settings and society, to improve outcomes for neurodivergent individuals.
