What we do
Autism Support Ayrshire is part of the National Autistic Society and has been supporting autistic people and their families across Ayrshire since 2013. Funded by the Health & Social Care Partnerships of North, South, and East Ayrshire Councils, our service is free, confidential, and open to anyone living in Ayrshire, whether formally diagnosed or self-identifying as autistic.
We provide:
- Information, advice, and guidance for individuals, parents, carers, and professionals
- Social groups for autistic adults and young people
- Autism workshops for parents and carers to build understanding and practical strategies
We cannot provide:
- Diagnostic services
- Advocacy services
- 1:1 Support
Who can access the service?
Our service is available to everyone in the Ayrshire community, regardless of whether they live or work in the area. The following people can access our service:
- Autistic individuals (no diagnosis required)
- Parents/Carers and family members of autistic individuals
- Professionals working with autistic individuals
Meet The Team
Our service is run by 3 members of staff who are all residents of Ayrshire, all have personal connections to autism and all have lived experiences of autism that they bring to team and share with the service users.
- Patsy Devlin is the Service Manager (on the left of the photo).
- Georgia Haygreen is the Project Co-ordinator, (in the centre of the photo)
- Lynsey McCabe is the Service Administrator (on the right of the photo).
