1985 Broomhayes School established
Broomhayes School in Bideford, Devon, was established in 1985 to provide specialised education and support for young autistic people.
The school was a specialist 24-hour, safe and secure learning environment for autistic students aged ten to 19. In 1993, the site moved to the Kingsley House site from its original location, which included the Saunders House, an off-site residential unit for students.
