Lakeside has 63 pupils taught in 6 classes from foundation stage to post 16. Our children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are taught alongside their peers in the age appropriate class. They have specialist provision from the Autism Team who oversee their education, liaising with the class teacher on programmes of support, taking withdrawal groups and giving support in class. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. Another intervention, approach and programme offered by the school is behaviour management.
