Supporting other charities

As part of our pupils' education, we encourage them to support other charities. Although we are part of a national charity, we do what we can to help other charities and causes. Our pupils regularly take part in enjoyable fundraising activities, especially those which support other children and young people. Over the years the school has raised thousands for charity.

Charities we help to support include:

  • Unicef
  • Children in Need
  • Comic Relief
  • Sport Relief
  • Jeans for genes
  • Help a Hallam Child
  • Breast Cancer Research
  • Macmillan Cancer Support

Activities include making and selling cakes, bookmarks, cards and ceramics, organising raffles and competitions, sponsored walking, treadmill running and dodgeball.

Our pupils also take part in awareness-raising activities such as The National Autistic Society's World Autism Awareness Week and Onesie Wednesday. Pictures of our fundraising events are posted in our gallery. In 2016, our pupils raised a fantastic £972 for charity.

On Red Nose Day in March 2017 - the school raised £405 for Comic Relief - the most the pupils have raised in one day for another charity. Have a look in our gallery at some of the pictures from that day.
