The staff at Helen Allison work closely with any other professionals involved with our students. We regularly attend meetings with these outside agencies and collectively as a team we put plans in place to support our students.
The team at Helen Allison also work closely with colleagues in our partner schools and colleges to build an understanding about autism and to help them to support our pupils. We do this both informally, as we work together, and through more formal training. The Helen Allison School is the South East AET Hub and the staff deliver AET training to local schools and organisations.
We invite professionals who work with young people with autism to our professional mornings, at which we look at subjects such as behaviour, communication, and general autism awareness.
We also offer an assessment service and advice to social work teams
