New Principal for Helen Allison School

We are delighted to introduce the new Principal of Helen Allison School, Simon Collins, who will be joining us on 1 July 2019.

Simon is an experienced education professional, and has a strong record of leadership in a number of prestigious schools, including Gravesend Grammar School and the famous BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in London.

He also has experience in developing education provision, helping support the opening of ADA, the National College for Digital Skills, and opening a brand new school in Hayes, Middlesex in conjunction with Global, the media brand behind some of the UK’s biggest radio stations, of which he was Principal.

Most recently, he was Education Director for Acumen Education, part of an investment bank, investing in affordable education in developing countries.

Simon Collins will be taking over from Anna Molony, who has been doing great work as Helen Allison School’s Interim Principal.

Kirstie Fulthorpe, our Director of Education, said, “We are very excited to have Simon joining the team at Helen Allison School and feel sure he will build on the fantastic work done by Anna and the team, to take our school into a bright future.”

On his appointment Simon said, “I am thrilled to be appointed Principal of Helen Allison School and can’t wait to get started. I am looking forward to meeting the staff, children and families.”

There will be a handover period between Simon’s first day in post, on 1 July, and Anna’s last day in post, on 30 July. If you have any questions, please do get in touch with Anna on anna.molony@nas.org.uk.
