David Darsey, President of the Institute of Demolition Engineers (IDE) and Honorary Life President of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC) has presented the Helen Allison School with a cheque for a new playground. The IDE and the NFDC raised £22,000 after David Darsey approached Helen Allison wanting to raise funds for the new playground last year.
David Darsey said, "I'm delighted to help support such a worthy cause and enable kids to benefit from the new facilities, which will be completed over the Easter break." On the day, Maureen Tong-Ralphs (National Secretary and Events Director of the IDE) and Sarah Darsey were on hand to present the cheque to Carol Povey, Director of the Centre for Autism, and Susan Conway, Principal at Helen Allison.
Thank you to David and to everyone at the IDE and NFDC for their support - the playground is sure to be a big hit with pupils!
