Get to know Keya Chanda, Branches finance and admin officer

The Branches team at The National Autistic Society

Why did you come to work for The National Autistic Society?

Having spent 10 years working in the corporate sector in banking and finance, I was keen to use my skills and experience somewhere I could contribute to a worthwhile cause with a social impact. Over the past 2 years as vice chair of governors for a primary school with an ASD base, I have become aware of the challenges faced by young autistic people and their families. Working closely with the school towards promoting their rights to learning that will give them the skills to thrive in life has been incredibly rewarding. So, when I saw the vacancy for this position it was like my dream job! To be able to put my skills to good use supporting a cause that has become close to my heart.

What do you enjoy most about working for The National Autistic Society?

Definitely the people! I really enjoy being part of the Branches network and getting to work with so many passionate people who are supporting autistic people and raising awareness in so many different ways.
