Manea is a rural Fenland village about 30 miles away from Peterborough and Cambridge.
We provide person centred support to encourage people to be as independent as possible.

We provide 24 hours of 1:1 support (including own sleep-in) with additional support for appointments and certain activities.

Our staff undertake a comprehensive autism induction including positive behaviour support and communication and provide a low arousal environment. Staff are epilepsy trained and we have a positive behaviour support affiliated coordinator for the service.

The service has good links with local health care facilities under Cambridgeshire.

Service facilities

Set in a peaceful rural location, the bungalow has a sensory room, a kitchen diner with utility room, a large communal lounge as well as a small porch and back garden.

All three bedrooms are en-suite with an additional shared bathroom upstairs. There is a small staircase to the second floor and small back garden. The communal lounge is large and there is a kitchen diner with utility room. There is a small porch area and large hall way. The upstairs vacant bedroom has only dormer windows for light.

Community facilities

Huntingdon can be reached in just over 30 minutes. There is a convenient railway station with currently twenty stops a day. Set in a peaceful location Manea is a chalet bungalow at the end of a small cul de sac.

This quiet village also has a restaurant, a local pub, a convenience store and a take-away.
Due to the rural location of our service, the person would require their own vehicle to access the community and to enjoy the area.

Placement suitability

The individual would need to have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and be aged 18+. Currently residing in the service is a male and a female.

This vacancy would suit someone who is mobile and able to navigate the stairs to their bedroom.
