The National Autistic Society (NAS) works in collaboration with universities on courses leading to recognised autism qualifications.

Expertise is available to inform course development and provide specialist tutors/trainers.

University of Cumbria - Understanding and supporting autistic people

A 20 credit module validated at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels (4 to 7), delivered in Lancaster, London and Carlisle.

Edinburgh Napier - Working with the autism spectrum: theory into practice

A module giving 20 credits at the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) level 8, delivered in Edinburgh.

Sheffield Hallam - Postgraduate certificate in autism and Asperger syndrome

A postgraduate certificate that consists of two modules, delivered at London and Manchester.

Canterbury Christchurch - Certificate in understanding autism in school

A 3-day programme aimed at school staff, leading to 20 credits at level 4 or 5.
