Vanguard School strives to provide high-quality work-related learning to our students. Two key components of the Careers Education programme include:
Encounters with Employers and Employees - Every student should have multiple opportunities to learn from employers about work, employment and the skills that are valued in the workplace. This can be through a range of enrichment activities including visiting speakers, mentoring and enterprise schemes.
Experience of Workplaces - Every student should have first-hand experiences of the workplace through work visits, work shadowing and/or work experience to help their exploration of career opportunities, and expand their networks.
We would like to thank all the employers who are working with us and those who are interested in working with us in the near future. We would like you provide you with some more detailed information about working with autistic young people - please click here. If you would like more information, please contact the Careers Education Lead (firstname.lastname@example.org)
