All Aboard for Autism is our autism-friendly 3km sponsored walk. Join us on Sunday 22 September from 9am to 12pm with games and activities before and free tickets to Drayton Manor theme park after!

Here are seven reasons why you should sign up to All Aboard for Autism:

1. It's autism-friendly

Thomas and Friends

The event is planned specifically with autistic people’s needs in mind. We have staff and volunteers from the charity who are experienced in autism and the Drayton Manor staff have received prior training. We provide a visual timetable and an easy read itinerary in the lead up to the event and almost everyone who comes to All Aboard for Autism is either a family with a child on the spectrum or an autistic adult. So you can relax knowing that everyone around you understands autism.

2. Free Drayton Manor park ticket

Drayton Manor

For those of you that hit your minimum sponsorship target of £35 per child (3-15) or £45 for adults (16+), we are giving you free tickets to Drayton Manor theme park after the event! What’s even more exciting is that Drayton Manor is home to Thomas Land, so there are lots of Thomas & Friends rides to go on.

3. Meet Sir Topham Hatt

Fat controller

We are very lucky that the Sir Topham Hatt will be meeting and greeting our walkers on the day. He'll take photos with you and sign any merchandise you buy if you aski him, then lead a warm up and sing-a-long session just before he starts the walk at 10.30am, so get practising your ‘peep peeps’!

4. Fun, games and family yoga

Fun and games

Before the walk we have lots of activities for you to get involved in. There’s hook-a-duck, lucky dip, inflatable games and face painting. There are even some stalls in the marquee where you can buy merchandise! We're also offering a yoga class for a small additional donation before the walk.

5. Sensory bus

Sensory bus

Inside the bus, suitable for all ages, is a bubble tube, infinity mirror, fibre optics, projections, soft walls and floor mats. The bus will be there 9am-11.30am, so there’ll be plenty of time to look inside and try everything.

6. Nominated for the Charity Event Awards

Charity Event Awards 2019 Finalist: Best Established Charity Event (logo)

We were shortlisted in May 2019 for Best Established Charity Event. It's still going strong, this will be the sixth year of All Aboard for Autism. Over the year we've had hundreds of supporters enjoy their day out, as well as raising thousands of pounds.

7. Goody bags

Thomas

To say a big well done and thank you, we're giving you a Thomas-themed goody bag (including KIND snack bar and Thomas & Friends goodies) and a medal after completing the 3km walk around the park. Then you can either go home and rest or enjoy your afternoon in the park. The park is still open to the public, but we've worked with the park to host the event on one of their quietest weekend days of the year.

Can't wait to see some of you there!
