Max J. Green

Max, 22, works in IT in Berkshire (he lives in Newbury). He is also an actor, YouTuber and public speaker and has been in Holby City, Doctors and our TMI employment film.

He went to a specialist school and left without any GCSEs. But he managed to get an IT apprenticeship and, with a supportive and understanding team, really excelled. He was eventually named Apprentice of the Year in 2016 and has recently started a new job where he is now a Senior IT Analyst.

Max is now passionate about sharing his experiences and inspiring other autistic people and employers.

What Max has done

Max is the star of our 2016 Autism Employment Gap campaign and film, which is calling on the Government and employers to open up the workplace for autistic people.

He has since worked with our charity on lots of media opportunities, talking about his experiences of autism and employment on BBC Breakfast, Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff and in The Guardian.

Max has helped the charity with a number of public speaking opportunities, at Parliament and other events.

Max also done a lot of fundraising for our charity, by taking part in all sorts of challenges.
