We are excited to announce the development of our Northern Ireland Centre for Autism in Belfast.

The centre is designed specifically for autistic adults with complex needs and will open in September 2019.

Complete with a fitted kitchen, laundry services and colourful multi-sensory rooms, the centre will provide a relaxed environment in which autistic people can develop new skills and become more independent. Through our individual programmes, each person will have access to onsite behaviour support, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy.

Shirelle Stewart, our charity's National Director in Northern Ireland said: "The centre has been designed with the interests and needs of autistic people at its heart. It will be modern, welcoming, and will use technology that has been specifically designed to support autistic people. We would like to thank everyone involved for raising vital funds for this innovative project and for helping to make our vision a reality."

We are looking forward to seeing the project in action. In the meantime, you can watch the video below for further information on the Northern Ireland Centre and a behind-the-scenes look at some of the new features.
