Strategies for managers and colleagues

Our interactive virtual training delivery model ensures we are proud to deliver the exact same learning outcomes for your organisation as our face to face training course, in a learner friendly and accessible way. We split our learning into 2 x 1 ½ hour sessions to maintain delegate engagement and cater for different learning styles; these sessions can be delivered at your convenience over a day or over multiple days.

Your training will be delivered by one of our experienced and knowledgeable training consultants and includes interactive activities and/or discussions.

Virtual training delivery is available for a variety of training topics and we are happy to explore bespoke options to suit your organisation’s needs, we are also delighted to offer consultancy to discuss specific scenarios or issues. Course aim

This course will increase participants’ understanding of autism (including Asperger syndrome) and develop their confidence in identifying and implementing reasonable adjustments for their autistic colleagues. 

Target audience

This course is suitable for all staff working alongside or managing autistic colleagues including managers, supervisors, HR staff, colleagues and workplace mentors. No previous knowledge of autism is required.

Learning Outcomes

  • Discuss current thinking about autism and identify main areas of difference.
  • Increase awareness of the difficulties autistic people may experience in the workplace and why.
  • Recognise potential causes of anxiety for autistic people in the workplace.
  • Identify and implement reasonable adjustments that can support your autistic colleagues

Autism in the workplace

Our new online module introduces the same topics covered in our face-to-face and virtual training, and can offer a shorter alternative for individuals or organisations.

This online module provides an introduction to autism, aiming to enable managers and colleagues to understand and support autistic people within the workplace.

Our autism consultants have experience across the UK and internationally providing excellent autism consultancy services. Continued Professional Development

The Understanding autism in the workplace course is certified by the CPD Certification Service (the leading independent CPD accreditation institution) as conforming to continuing professional development principles. All delegates attending this course will receive a certificate of attendance detailing eligible CPD hours which can be used as verifiable documentary evidence when submitting CPD recording forms.
