Type of service: Local groups, Social groups
NAS Tavistock and District Group (NAS TAD for short!) became part of the National Autistic Society network of local groups and branches in 2014. .
Our groups are: TAD WAVE - Women with Aspergers Voice Exchange, which is our original group for women only and TAD Carers Group - for parents and carers of those with autism..
These are small, friendly groups and we try and meet monthly in Tavistock for a coffee and a chat. As a group we have three main aims: to provide mutual support for autistic adults and their carers living in the West Devon area; to raise awareness of the needs of autistic adults; and to improve availability of information for those living in Devon. .
We would also like to hear from relevant local professionals and organisations within Devon to share information and encourage good practice. .
