Group Therapy for Autistic Women
Main information
Service categories: Counselling and therapies, Support groups, social programs and branches
Online therapy group for autistic women aged 18+, facilitated via Zoom by Rebecca and Natalie. We are both late-diagnosed autistic women and person-centred therapists who specialise in supporting autistic women and girls.
This group isn’t based on set topics or a strict structure. What we talk about each week comes from the group, with a focus on people’s experiences and how we connect with each other.
Group therapy can feel different to individual therapy. There is an expectation of some level of participation and engagement, as this is part of how the group becomes meaningful and therapeutic. At the same time, we aim to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and non-judgemental, where different communication styles are welcomed and supported.
Group therapy can be a helpful addition to individual therapy or a next step if you are looking to connect with others who share similar experiences. It offers opportunities to:
- Feel less alone and connect with other autistic women
- Share and hear lived experiences in a space where you are likely to be understood
- Practise communication and boundaries in real-time
- Learn from others’ perspectives and ways of coping
- Build confidence in relationships and self-expression
Many people find that group therapy supports increased self-awareness, a stronger sense of belonging, and improved interpersonal skills.
The group will include around 7–10 participants and will likely run once a fortnight from July 2026.
You do not need to be a current client to join. We will arrange a short introductory call with either Rebecca or Natalie before joining. This is to get to know you, answer any questions, and consider together whether the group feels like a suitable fit for you at this time.
If you are interested, please register your interest via our website. We will then contact you with further details, including fees, dates, and times once these are confirmed.
