About the job

Salary: £6.84 per hour (social); £8.08 per hour (unsocial); £8.51 (student support)
Location: Glasgow, Peterhead, Aberdeen

We are recruiting support workers (Bank) to support people with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in Glasgow, Peterhead, Aberdeen and the surrounding areas. You will be supporting promoting and developing people's independent living skills, and helping them to access learning opportunities and build social and vocational contacts in the community.

The successful applicants must be able to work on their own, as part of a small team and with other professional agencies. There may also be occasions when it will be necessary to represent individuals and the NAS.
 
A relevant qualification recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council is desirable (or the commitment to achieve a relevant qualification within two years). Six months' experience of working in a care setting would be advantageous. Equally important is a commitment to enrich the lives of people with an ASD in a professional and supportive manner.

There will be an induction training programme for all successful candidates.
