The National Autistic Society's Surrey branch is a volunteer-run, parent-to-parent support group with around 2000 members, covering the Surrey County Council area. We offer a variety of support groups, meetings and activities for families with autistic children and adults. Details of all our activities are published in the branch newsletter, produced every 2 months. It's free to join - just go to https://nassurreybranch.org/membership/.
We have a range of morning and evening support group meeting in towns around the county and online, run by local volunteers. There are also special support groups for parents of girls, parents of adults, parents of children with pathological demand avoidance and spouses and partners of autistic people. In addition, we have an email support group. We run occasional courses or speaker meetings, and once a term we run an activity for autistic children and young people and their siblings, such as indoor climbing, ice skating or a Christmas party. See our website for more information.
