We are happy to say that over the weekend all the eggs have successfully hatched and now the work starts. The parents now have ten greedy little mouths to feed! Fortunately, the tree they are living in seems to have a supply of insects, although the recent and continuing cold spell has not helped insect numbers in the locality. Anyway, we are keeping our fingers crossed that they all survive.
We have now put a live feed from the nest into the school hall as well as in Reception so the pupils can watch nature in real time.
