All our local branches are run by volunteers: please be aware that it may not be possible for your call to be answered straight away.

    Description
    Bridgend and District National Autistic Society Branch is run by parents of children, young people and adults with an autism spectrum condition. The Branch holds monthly meetings and we welcome any one whose life is touched by autism. We provide local information, advice and support. The Branch holds regular activities: swimming, athletics, playtime sessions and organises social events and fund-raising activities. You do not have to be a member of the NAS to attend meetings.     Description

    Cardiff and the Vale National Autistic Society (NAS) Branch is a parent–led voluntary group that meets regularly to exchange information, advice and support in a sociable and friendly atmosphere.  We are committed to raising awareness and understanding of Autistic Spectrum Disorders in Cardiff and the Vale area. We are committed to equal opportunities for all people living with autism and the development of a working partnership with professionals and with other voluntary organisations. We welcome anyone who has concerns and would like to know more about this condition.     Description

    A voluntary self-help group offering activities and providing support to local individuals and families. The group is a parent group for Carmarthenshire residents. Regular family fun sessions are held at Funsters, a soft play fun factory in Hendy. The Branch also arranges social evenings for parents and young adults, drop in social coffee mornings and evenings and exclusive cinema showings for group members.  Social outings are planned for children to develop educationally and socially. The Branch aims to provide members with information on local and national services and organisations and to inform on good practice. The Branch is committed to enabling members to access the same opportunities as others. Support and information is offered to members and interested parties in either Welsh or English. A book and video library has been established by means of a Local Authority grant, giving members access to a wide selection of information on autism and related topics. A monthly newsletter is produced and is the main form of communication to all members, listing forthcoming activities and information on local meetings and matters of interest.

    Description
    A social group for young people in Neath aged 14 years upwards with an autism spectrum disorder.  It gives the opportunity to meet with others and take part in activities such as swimming; playing board games; arts & crafts and playing pool.  This group meets every Thursday evening from 5.30pm - 8.30pm.  There is a £10 charge per evening.

    Description

    The service provides information and support for people with autism and Asperger syndrome, their families, friends and carers. The group concentrates on two areas: (i) outreach and information in the community; (ii) social and peer support of group members and their families with monthly meetings and periodic social activities. This branch also provides an Internet Cafe that takes place on a monthly basis at TAPE, Berthes Road, Old Colwyn. It is aimed at young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families and provides internet access, Wi-Fi, additional laptops, Ipads and computer games.     Description

    The NAS Merthyr Tydfil Branch runs monthly autism spectrum disorder (ASD)-specific soft play sessions, ASD pool/flume parties, Kidz Fit sessions and activities including horse riding and rock climbing. They hold coffee mornings and regular courses that benefit parents of children and young people on the autism spectrum, together with organising autism awareness talks throughout Merthyr and the surrounding area. This branch also has a sensory and book library.

    NAS Newport Branch (formerly known as NAS South Gwent Branch) will hold three to four information sharing meetings a year with local, national and international speakers. There is also a website, Facebook group and occasional newsletters.

    Description
    The NAS Pembrokeshire Branch are a parent led voluntary group. They hold monthly coffee mornings/evenings in Pembroke, Haverfordwest and Fishguard. They also organise days out, seminars, guest speakers and much more. Their aim is to support families with a child or adult who has a diagnosis of a autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or who is going through the diagnosis process. Their Facebook page is National Autistic Society Pembrokeshire Branch. They also run a youth club.

    We would like to welcome all persons involved in the world of autism, whether you have autism and/or know somebody with autism and are looking for advice. We will hopefully be able to help you or at least point you in the right direction. Some of our branch members have children on the spectrum and are of different ages. Therefore, we would be happy to share our experiences so please feel free to ask us anything. The group caters to families/carers who have children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), adults with ASD are welcome but there are no specific adult ASD sub groups: Activities; Training Days; Regular social group parent/carer and children; Play sessions for children; and Organised outside activities.
