    Description

    The Cambridge Branch of the National Autistic Society (CNAS) provides support to individuals of all ages and their families and campaigns for better local services for those living with autism in Cambridgeshire. The Branch currently provides 24/7 information and advice support via telephone helpline, e-mail and website (see above) and runs a number of support groups and clubs for people on the autism spectrum and for their families. These include the Meet and Play group for families of children under 5 with communication difficulties and/or autism, day-time and evening Parent Support Groups and a Social Club for adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

    The NAS Lowestoft & North Suffolk Branch has regular meetings for parents and other family members affected by autism to create a friendly atmosphere, provide support and raise awareness. Two groups meet at the Carlton Pub Lowestoft, NR33 0LF on either the: third Wednesday of the month 9.30am-11.30am; and first Tuesday of the month 7pm-9pm.     Description

    The Peterborough Branch of the National Autistic Society (NAS) provides support to individuals of all ages with autism, and their families and carers, and campaigns for better local services for those living with autism in Peterborough. The Branch currently provides information and advice support through email (peterborough@nas.org.uk) and aims to begin providing phone support as soon as possible. The Branch is also in the process of developing a support group to provide help and support to local autistic people and their families.

    NAS Thurrock Group provides support and information to families and carers of children with autism and campaigns for better local services for those living with autism in Thurrock.     Description

    NAS West Norfolk Branch is run voluntarily by parent/carers, all who have children/young people on the autistic spectrum. It provides coffee mornings which regularly have professionals attending and gives families an opportunity to socialise.     Description

    The NAS West Suffolk Branch is run by a voluntary committee of parents of children and Adults with a autism spectrum disorder (ASD). They offer support and activities for families affected by autism. The activities are: a youth group (age 10+); computer gaming evenings; ten-pin bowling groups (Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury); an adult and their carers support group, LEGO Club (by application), a drop-in cafe in Sudbury, an autism friendly Christmas party, family picnics and other one-off events.
