Our Welfare Rights Service offers advice and information on all aspects of social security benefit entitlement. This includes advice on which benefits you may be entitled to, general advice on completing claim forms, what to do if you think a decision is wrong and how to appeal to a tribunal.

If you have a problem with your benefits, or need help understanding your benefits, we may be able to help.

How to use our Welfare Rights Service

  • Use our contact form. It would be helpful if you could confirm the name of the benefit you are enquiring about and provide as much detail as possible regarding your enquiry. We aim to reply within 10 working days. Please note that it may take us longer if our welfare rights adviser is away.
  • If you do not have email or internet access, you can call our Autism Helpline on 0808 800 4104 free (Monday-Thursday, 10am-4pm, and Friday, 9am-3pm). The Helpline will take details of your query and arrange a telephone appointment for you with our Welfare Rights Adviser, who will call you back at the agreed time to discuss your query in detail.
