We established our supported living projects in Rushden in 2003 to enable adults with a diagnosis of autism and Asperger syndrome to live independently in their own home.
With appropriate support, many people with autism can live successfully either alone, with others, or in shared tenancies. Our staff provide support that is specifically tailored to meet each person's needs.
Our support ranges from a few hours each week to help with the challenges of everyday life, to more comprehensive care packages and 24-hour supported living for those with more complex needs.
Our supported management service enables people to hold their own tenancy agreement with a landlord. We also offer structure within the home, so that tenants can successfully abide by their tenancy agreements. Each person is supported to develop basic living skills such as self-care, laundry, cooking and budgeting.
I like lots about living here - spending time in my room listening to music, cooking and going out.

Our qualified staff are always on hand to support tenants in using local leisure and community facilities. We develop person-centred plans for everyone who uses our supported living service and foster each person's confidence so that they can enhance their skills and independence in all areas of their lives. Where appropriate, we also support our tenants in further education and employment.
He is in a safer place. I don't have to worry about people going round to his flat and him letting them in. He is less vulnerable in supported living.

We hold reviews whenever they are needed and encourage the people who use our service, and those involved with their well-being, to attend these.
