    Description
    The group is for families of adults with an autism spectrum condition. Meetings are held at a central location in Bristol. The group welcomes everyone with an interest in or concern for an adult with an autism spectrum condition. It offers mutual support, shared experience and local information and occasional outside speakers.

    Description
    The branch provides an opportunity for parents to meet regularly at a drop in every month - these take place on the third Wednesday of every month, with the exception of August and December.  It provides parent led exclusive access play opportunities for families with children under 19 and their siblings.  The drop in sessions occasionally have guest speakers and parents may also borrow books and resources. Some activities need to be booked in advance and some may require a donation.  All activities are ran according to the venues conditions of service of use and so some venues may have restrictions on the age and number of children using the venue.  Parents must be responsible for their children at all times.  All activities are notified through the NAS email address.

    Description
    The Gloucestershire Branch of the National Autistic Society provides help, support and information to families, carers, partners, individuals with an autism spectrum disorder and anyone in the county of Gloucestershire with an interest in autism. The Branch organise regular evening support group meetings where guest speakers are invited to talk about a variety of issues relating to autism spectrum disorders (ASD's), monthly informal parent support meetings in Cheltenham (morning) and Tewkesbury (afternoon) during term times, branch newsletter, social activities during school holidays, practical workshops, autism conferences, local telephone and email helpline (daytime) and access to an extensive resource library.

    Description
    Offers support to parents of children or adults who have an autism spectrum condition. This is in the form of three support group meetings a month or one to one. The Branch sends out 3 newsletters a year to its members. It organises social events for the whole family about 4 times a year. It also organises one day talks about 6 times a year ranging from talks about autism to challenging behaviour, or any other subject that members want to know more about.

    Description
    NAS Plymouth Adult Asperger's Branch (NAS PAAB) offers support to adults with Asperger Syndrome and High Functioning Autism.  We provide weekly support meetings, as well as time and space for people to chat.  This enables positive social interaction where individuals can achieve a sense of identity.  We arrange social events such as walks, barbeques, cinema outings and quiz evenings periodically throughout the year. We also offer information, support and signposting to other services where possible.

    Description
    The National Autistic Society's Plymouth Branch provides support for parents and carers with children and adults on the autism spectrum.  It offers a monthly daytime parent/carer support meeting, with regular visiting speakers, as well as time and space for people to chat.  People can also contact the Branch for information and advice.  The Branch will be developing further evening support meetings and other services in due course.

    Description
    The group works to promote awareness of ASD throughout the community. The group, supporting parents, aims to work with all concerned towards the development of a brighter future in Somerset for those with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, particularly Asperger syndrome. The group aspires to support and publicise the policies and programmes of the National Autistic Society and those of the education, social and health services in the county. It currently meets on a quarterly basis.

    Description
    The NAS South Gloucestershire Branch offers support to parents and carers of children or adults who have or may have Autism or Asperger syndrome. The branch meets twice a month on a morning session and an evening session alternatively; they can also organise one to one support over the phone or by email. As not all parents can attend our meetings we keep you up to date with events planned by a local newsletter each term. The branch also sits on various planning groups in the area to ensure that the needs of the ASD individual are being considered.

    Description
    The branch provides social events such as fun days, skittles and barbeques and offers information, support and signposting services, as well as having speakers at their meetings. They currently provide a social group for young adults with Asperger syndrome but would like to expand this to have more social groups for a younger age group and another for those lower on the spectrum. The branch's committee is formed of representatives from several well-established local autism-related groups. They are SCAAS (Support for Carers of Adults with Aspergers in Swindon), DASH (Discovering Autistic Spectrum Happiness), a steering group comprising professionals from mental health services and third sector housing and occupational services, as well as service users. In addition, the committee has representatives of parents of adults with autism and the group for those with younger children with autism spectrum disorders (across spectrum) are also represented.

    Description
    The branch exists to do what it can to help people with autism and their families. It does this by having open meetings every month with guest speakers where people have the opportunity to meet and support each other. It provides information and ideas in regular newsletters and through access to the branch library. Arranges social events and family trips out. These include a young adults group which runs on a weekly basis and a regular swimming group which has private use of a pool. Helps raise autism awareness in the area by organising public events and generating press reports.

    Description
    The Branch offers support and information for parents of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders including those with additional special needs including ADHD, ADD, OCD, ODD, dyspraxia, chromosomal abnormalities and Down syndrome. It holds regular coffee meetings, open meetings with speakers, leisure and art activities for children and their siblings as well as fundraising events, day trips and parties.
