Education law places certain duties on local authorities and gives parents and carers certain rights in relation to their child's education. There are also processes to help families and local authorities resolve disagreements.
Our Education Rights Service (formally the Advocacy for Education Service) provides accurate information, support and advice on educational provision and entitlements to help guide parents through education law and what can often be a complex and difficult process. The service is provided by volunteers who offer telephone-based advice from their own homes.
Thank you for all your help; it is a vital lifeline to be able to speak to people who really do understand.
