Sybil Elgar School
"The curriculum is outstanding and characterised by a
high focus on personalising programmes of work."
Ofsted, 2008 (www.ofsted.gov.uk)
The Sybil Elgar School was opened by The National Autistic Society (NAS) in 1965. From our early beginnings of nine pupils/students in one building, we now have the facility to take up to 100 pupils/students as day or weekly boarders, aged 11-19+, across three sites.
Our residential students are coached to and from school with residential social workers and/or classroom assistants acting as escorts.
