Education and schools


 

We run a range of non profit-making schools and colleges for students of all ages with widely varying needs, including more able students and those with high support needs arising out of challenging behaviours. We also offer outreach and other educational support services.

 

Broomhayes School
Devon
The aim of Broomhayes School and Children's Centre is to provide a specialist 24 hour, safe and secure learning environment for students with autistic spectrum disorders.

Daldorch House School
Ayrshire
Daldorch House School is the sixth school to be established by The National Autistic Society (NAS). It is the first 52 week autism-specific residential school to be established in Scotland by the NAS, providing residential places for 40 children aged five to 18 years.

Helen Allison School
Kent
The Helen Allison School in Kent supports children and young people with aged five to 19 in the school, further education department and residential units.

Radlett Lodge School
Hertfordshire
Radlett Lodge is an NAS school for students aged 4-16. It is based in Hertfordshire and is subject to inspection by OFSTED and The National Care Standards Commission.

Robert Ogden School
South Yorkshire
The National Autistic Society's Robert Ogden School, located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, offers day and residential (weekly boarding) provision for up to 125 pupils aged 8-19.

Sybil Elgar School
Middlesex
The Sybil Elgar School was opened by The National Autistic Society (NAS) in 1965. From its early beginnings of nine pupils/students in one building, it now has the facility to take up to 72 pupils/students as day, weekly or termly boarders, aged 11-19+.

Out of school clubs
Our out of school clubs support children and young people with Asperger syndrome and high-functioning autism, giving them the opportunity to take part in activities and socialise.

London Outreach Service
Our NAS London Outreach Service works with children and adults with autism (including Asperger syndrome) in the London area.

Student support services
Our services for students with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) around the UK.

Education Support Service for teachers
 Photo of a boy at school Our Education Support Service operates in south east England and is linked to the three NAS schools in the region. It offers support and training for teaching professionals who work with chldren and young people with autism.
