What the Branches do

Each NAS Branch provides a range of activities which may include:

  • self-help support for parents and carers
  • information and advice
  • fundraising activities for existing or future projects
  • the operation of a special school or unit for people with autism
  • the running of workshops and seminars
  • organising respite care/holiday schemes.

It is through local centres that parents, carers and people with autism receive a lot of the help they need.

All our local Branches are run by volunteers: please be aware that it may not be possible for your call to be answered straight away.

Forming a Branch

Many members of the NAS have wished to develop closer relationships and work together to improve local services, provide information and support to each other by forming a Branch of the NAS. The Branches now range from parent support groups to those with office premises offering a drop-in service to people running playschemes.

For more information on forming an NAS Branch, contact your local Regional/National Officer.
