Local campaigning

Get involved: campaign at a local level to improve the lives of people affected by autism and Asperger syndrome where you live.

Many of the decisions about services and support for people with autism are made by local authorities and health agencies. Because of this, local campaigning is vital if we are to achieve real improvements at ground level.

We want to give our supporters all the help you need to take action for a better deal for local families and individuals affected by autism.

This year we've already launched the Autism Action Network - an exciting new project that supports autism groups to campaign on issues that matter to them locally.

We also offer support and resources to anyone affected by autism who wants to take action in their area. If you can't find what you're looking for in this part of the website, please contact our Campaigns Team for further information and advice about local campaigning. And if you've already taken action for people with autism in your area, we'd love to hear about your experiences.
