In England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales there are careers services that can offer information and advice on employment and career choices.
In Wales, Careers Wales offers advice about career choices, jobs and learning for young people and adults. In Scotland, Careers Scotland supports people who are looking for work or making choices about their future career.
In the Careers Service Nothern Ireland, Disablement Employment Advisors (DEAs) help adults with disabilities find suitable employment or training. They can also advise employers about adapting the workplace or supporting disabled people at work. The Service also offers careers advice.
In England, Connexions provides support from the age of 13 up to the age of 25 for young people who have learning difficulties or disabilities (or both). There are Connexions services across the country which can offer information and advice about employment and work-related matters, such as how to find a job; your rights at work; setting up your own business; and joining a work scheme. Connexions can also talk to you about the careers you might want to consider.
