If you're researching autism, our autism library catalogue is a great place to start. You can use it to find research papers, books, articles, videos and other materials.

Search library catalogue

The NAS library is reference only for outside visitors but we lend materials to NAS staff and volunteers. We can't guarantee that all our books and other materials will be available all the time. If you want to visit to look at something in particular please ask us to check that it is not on loan first.

If you need information about autism or the NAS please email nas@nas.org.uk.

Staying up to date

Autism Update is a list of articles, books, and other media covering practical approaches and accounts of autism and Asperger syndrome added to the library catalogue in the past two months.

Titles in Autism is a list of all articles from peer-reviewed academic journals added to the library catalogue in the previous two months.

Ordering research articles

We can supply photocopies of articles for an individual's research or private study within the constraints of UK copyright law. If you are part of the NHS or a university then you may be able to order them from your workplace or university library for free. We can supply copies of material which says ‘Available from the NAS Information Centre’ for £3 per copy. Please email library@nas.org.uk and we will send you the form to order the copies.
