Taking part in a challenge event is a great way to fundraise for The National Autistic Society.
As a charity, we rely on the support of people like you to help us improve the lives of people living with autism.
About the event
Date: 20 May 2012
Location: Manchester
Distance: 6.2 miles/10 kilometres
Registration fee: £25
Minimum sponsorship: £200
2012 is not only the year that the Olympics comes to the UK; it's also the year that The National Autistic Society celebrates its 50th anniversary. Why not celebrate with us by taking part in one of the largest and most prestiguous 10k runs in the country: the Bupa Great Manchester Run. Over 38,000 runners will be taking part in the run, which is one of the fastest growing running events in the world.
From start to finish, you'll be entertained by a wide range of musicians, all playing as hard as they can to help keep you going. As well as the pounding of fifty thousand feet on the streets, the city of Manchester will be dancing to the sound of several bands lined up around the course to provide some entertainment as you make your way around the course.
