We are very proud to announce that we have been shortlisted in the ‘best event’ category at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Scotland PRide Awards!

Chartered Institute of Public Relations Scotland PRide Awards.

The event we’ve been shortlisted for is the comedy night we held at Scottish Parliament in December 2017 to celebrate our 20th anniversary in Scotland.

In the months leading up to this event, a group of autistic adults took part in workshops led by comedians Janey Godley and her daughter Ashley Storrie. Janey’s husband and Ashley are both autistic.

The group learned to write, hone and perform their own comedy – before making their debut stand-up performance live at Scottish Parliament. Routines that premiered on the night included ‘improv’ between two wizards, a long and winding piece on procrastination, and some very romantic maths gags.

We are very grateful to our budding comedians, Janey and Ashley, keynote speaking Mark McDonald MSP, event sponsor Anas Sarwar MSP, and Norman Yarwood from FDM Group for making the event possible.

The winners of the CIPR Scotland PRide Awards will be announced on 5 October.
