On Thursday 6 July we were at the prestigious D&AD New Blood Awards in London.

New Blood awards.

These awards test entrants to create engaging content following brands issued creative briefs.

Our brief was simple – produce a short film about autism. Overall, sixty people created films in response. Our contestants were competing against the likes of Amazon, BBC, and John Lewis.

We are absolutely ecstatic to announce that we had 11 winners – one of which took home the only Black Pencil Award of the night, the highest accolade possible.

Watch Hannah McNally and Martha Halliday’s incredible black pencil-winning short film ‘Mm Hmm’. Joel is Martha's brother, and her mum has yet to experience what the future holds for Joel. Joel is portrayed as a problem solver and as being fully able to do things, just in his own way.
