Anurag with Jane Asher.

Last month, we headed down to Sybil Elgar School in April to celebrate the birthday of Jane Asher, President of The National Autistic Society, and to say a big thank you to her for all she does to help our charity and to support autistic children and adults.

The students laid on a feast at their local café and treated Jane to some brilliant performances of classics like ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’, ‘What A Wonderful World’ and ‘Man In The Mirror’, as well a home-baked birthday cake!

Jane said, “This is the best birthday party I have ever had!”

It was also a chance to say a massive "good luck!" to our amazing supporter Anurag, who this month took on a breath-taking challenge
to reach the summit of Everest Base Camp! He aims to raise £29,029 (the height of Everest) to support The National Autistic Society. If you would like to show your support, you can visit Anurag's Justgiving page.

If you would like to know more about what else you can do to support us (trekking to Everest Base Camp isn’t for everyone!) then you can find out more in the events section of our website.
