Since our charity started over 50 years ago, we've been pioneering new ways to support people and understand autism. With a turnover of around £100 million each year, we continue to learn every day from the children and adults we support in our eight specialist schools (including two free schools), and our care services.

Based on our experience, and with support from our members, donors and volunteers, we also provide life-changing information and advice to millions of autistic people, their families and friends. And we support professionals, politicians and the public to understand autism better so that more autistic people of all ages can be understood, supported and appreciated for who they are.

We are now looking to appoint a Trustee with extensive experience in the provision of regulated care services. We're looking for someone to provide guidance and support and to make sure our services offer consistently high quality. We are seeking candidates with established senior level experience and with a background care provision, commissioning and/or the regulation of services.

Above all, candidates need to share our passion for creating a better world for people on the autism spectrum and show a track record of networking at a senior level to achieve strategic impact.

If you feel you have the experience and commitment to make a real contribution to the future of our organisation, we look forward to hearing from you.
