We recently launched a three-year partnership with the Trafigura Foundation to fund our Autism Helpline. The Foundation has committed £1.5 million to meet the Helpline's funding needs and enable significant developments to the service.
To meet the growing demand for advice, information and vital support for people affected by autism, our partnership with The Trafigura Foundation will fund three new positions in the Helpline team, as well as enabling us to put in place new communication technologies, such as an instant messaging service.
The NAS Autism Helpline is already a lifeline to over 40,000 people each year. With the support of The Foundation we will be able to dramatically extend the reach and quality of help we can offer, meeting the growing need for advice, information and vital support for people affected by autism.
The partnership is the Foundation's inaugural UK funding announcement and builds upon Trafigura's long-standing relationship with the NAS, which has seen their employees raise £150,000 over three years by taking part in a variety of events, including the Flora London Marathon.
