LEGO UK staff have set a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of mini figures ever built and displayed, with all proceeds from the ambitious attempt coming to the NAS.

As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, staff at LEGO UK head office in Slough assembled over 35,000 LEGO Star Wars Clone Trooper mini figures from the new Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie range in six-and-a-half hours.

The sponsored record attempt was part of a two-year charity partnership between and the NAS and LEGO. By 2010 LEGO UK is aiming to have raised £80,000 to upgrade the playground at our Radlett Lodge School in Hertfordshire.
