BIC Kids logoWe are delighted to be working with BIC® Kids, who are kindly supporting our Education Support Service.

In March we launched a partnership with BIC® Kids at the NAS Sybil Elgar School. BIC® Kids spent the morning in an art class with pupils from the school and took a tour around the school with lead teacher Lucy Burholt.

Our partnership will include working together on an autism teaching resource, available from the BIC® Kids school club website. Our resource helps teachers explain autism to their class so that students can understand more about their class mates with autism. This will help dispel the myths and stigma surrounding autism which can lead to the bullying and isolation of children with autism in mainstream schools.

BIC® Kids are also offering teachers the chance to enter a monthly prize draw to win £150 worth of BIC® KIDS products. Teachers can find out more at www.bickidsschoolclub.com

We are also pleased to announce that we have launched a similar parent resource on their main website www.bickids.com  This is designed to help all parents explain what autism is to their child and will coincide with a colouring competition to win BIC® Kids colouring products. We hope the two resources will help teachers and pupils understand children with autism in their class.
