The National Autistic Society (NAS) Cymru provides the secretariat for the Cross-Party Autism Group in the National Assembly for Wales.
Cross-party groups comprise interested Assembly Members who attend meetings on a particular topic, in this case autism. The remit of the group is outside the Assembly's formal role.
Meetings of the Cross-Party Autism Group are held quarterly. The meeting is public and people with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), parents, carers and other interested parties are welcome to attend. The group uses these sessions to discuss current issues concerning autism spectrum disorder and invites guest speakers to contribute to discussions.
