Since 2007, we have been working with the Bankers Benevolent Fund (BBF), now the
Bank Workers Charity
, a charity for bank employees and their dependents, to deliver an exciting programme to support families from the banking community whose lives are touched by
autism
. If you have a child affected by autism and you work, or have worked, in the UK banking sector, you can apply for a package of services and support funded by the BWC that is designed to meet your individual needs.
At the end of 2009 we spoke to a number of families who had received support through the programme to see what difference, if any, the programme had made to their lives. The positive feedback we received was astounding and highlighted how such a partnership can make a real difference to the day-to-day lives of people living with autism. With the BWC, we have produced an impact report detailing this feedback and are proud that this has been the first impact report to be compiled as a result of a corporate partnership.
