The Autism Bill


 

Were the Autism Bill to become law, it would place a legal duty on local authorities in England to provide appropriate support and services for people with autism (including Asperger syndrome).

Since being introduced by Cheryl Gillan MP, the Bill has been discussed in Parliament and, most recently, in the House of Lords. The Government has also declared its support for the Bill.
