help! First Steps is a one-day family support seminar which provides information and advice to families of children and young people affected by autism.

How will the seminar support families?

The seminar will support families to:

  • develop an understanding of autism
  • gain awareness of sensory needs of children with autism
  • discuss experiences of getting a diagnosis
  • identify how autism can affect families
  • explore practical ideas for developing communication strategies
  • clarify support that families may be entitled to and ways to access this
  • provide a help! resource pack of information.

 

Families seminar - £30 per two family members

Families can book two places on a one-day help! First Steps seminar for £30 (inclusive of VAT), which includes a full resource pack of useful information, advice and support guidelines.

The help! First Steps seminar is delivered by experienced and trained professionals of The National Autistic Society.
