Our social groups can help people with autism to overcome social isolation. We run groups for adults in a number of towns and cities across Scotland, while our Teenscene youth groups provide a place for young people with autism to have fun, develop their social skills and increase their confidence.
Adult social groups
Our adult social groups provide a supportive environment in which people with Asperger syndrome aged 16 and over can come together and enjoy a wide range of social activities.
Group members decide together what they would like to do, and there is something for everyone to enjoy. Activities may include trips to the cinema, theatre, pubs and restaurants, or sports and outdoor activities.
We currently run adult social groups in Glasgow, Clydebank, Edinburgh and Dundee. Each group is free to join but members must make their own transport arrangements and pay for their own activities and refreshments.
I appreciate this social group so much. My son still gets lonely at times but without this group things would be so much worse.

Teenscene
Teenscene is our supported youth group service for teenagers with autism and Asperger syndrome aged between 12 and 18 years old. Teenscene gives teenagers a safe, structured environment in which to meet and make friends with other people their own age who experience similar social difficulties.
Every young person who joins Teenscene gets a home visit from a member of staff before they attend, so that they and their families can get to know them.
Teenscene is free at the point of delivery but parents and carers are asked to cover the cost of meals and activities. Currently Teenscene operates in East Dunbartonshire and North Ayrshire.
