As part of Takeover Day 2011, students from our Sybil Elgar School visited The National Autistic Society head office for the day.

Two of the students, Audie and Aniajah, joined the publications and web team. We interviewed Audie and Aniajah about their school and they got to see how we created this page in our content management system.

Hello! My name is Audie.

I think Woodlands [building for post-16s] is interesting. I like it when there is music and activities. I like to dance and sing.

I like to go out to the cafes and sometimes I like to go to McDonald's. We walk there from school. It's good that the school is so close.

The teachers are nice and they teach me how to do things.

Hi! My name is Aniajah.

I think Sybil Elgar School is cool because it helps people that have autism. We can learn a lot. We have fun days out, trips with our friends - the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, The Horniman.

We make our own food in Food Technology - cakes and cookies. We had Polish week and we went to the Polish Centre. We had Polish doughnuts!

I like all the teachers. They teach me a lot. We learn a lot about hygiene, taking care of things, learning about other people.

We have clubs now. I have Cycle Club on Friday and we have Maths Club, Yoga Club.
